Trail riding courses…
The trail riding course consists in principle of theoretical part and a practical part. The following topics will be covered first in theory and then exercised in practical lessons:
- Introduction
- Keeping the horse properly (feed)
- A horse suitable for trail riding
- Planning (limits, legal issues, financial issues)
- Material & luggage
- Saddle and bridle (Pack saddle/Pack horse)
- Shoeing (possibly with a farrier)
- Working with leather
- Knots
- Orientation
- First aid for horses
Trail riding courses are conducted in German French and English. It is also possible only to cover the theoretical part of the course. During the course week all meals will be provided by us.
Equipment you should bring: a compass (e.g. GEONAUTE thumb compass (Decathlon) or GEONAUTE Orienteering compass), map case (e.g. GEONAUTE flexible map case (Decathlon), paper and writing materials.
