Climate…

The Burgundy lies in inland and therefore has a continental climate with distinct seasons. These influence the life of its inhabitants most of whom live from farming. While the winter could be really cold with a lot of snow, the summers are pleasantly warm and sunny but almost never too hot. The region is especially nice in spring. It is mostly so warm right after the end of winter that café owners put their tables in the sunshine. For those who enjoy warm weather but do not like it extremely hot, the summer is the best season. Luckily the region is somewhat spared by tourists who overpopulate the rest of France in August. It is also very attractive in autumn: The region attracts not only photographers and wine lovers until the end of October because of the golden autumn sun which transforms the vineyards into huge colour palettes.
